Herrera Library Facts:
ACCEPTABLE USE AGREEMENT
Zavala Library offers students access to many online resources in the library and remote access from home. Per district policy, all students must have parental permission with a signed Acceptable Use Agreement form on file to access materials on the Internet.
- Approximately 13,000 books in all!
- Teachers may check out as many items as they like and keep them for as long as they need them unless there is another request for the same items.
- Student books can be kept for 2 weeks only. If they have not finished reading them, they may re-check them out.
- Teachers and students are responsible for the library materials they have checked out. If lost or damaged, they must be paid in full so as to replace the item(s).
- Since there will not be anymore RIF (Reading is Fundamental) distributions, the library now hosts free book exchanges called Little Free Libraries. The Motto is "Take a Book - Leave a Book"...let's keep donating books so that everybody has equal access!
